Solutions:
1. E) The least possible Venn diagram for the given Statements is,

Conclusions:
I. Some gates are stones → it’s possible but not definite, hence false.
II. Some gates are rings → it’s clearly true.
III. No gates is stone → it’s possible but not definite, hence false.
IV. Some rings are stones → it’s definite no possible, hence false.
Here conclusion I and III form a complementary pair.
Thus either conclusion I or III and conclusion II follows.

2. C) The least possible Venn diagram for the given statements is as follows,

Conclusions:
I. Some beds are sofas → It’s not possible, hence false.
II. Some sofas are tables → It’s possible but not definite, hence false.
III. Some chairs are desks → It’s true.
IV. No chair is beds → It’s possible but not definite, hence false.
Thus only conclusion III follows.

3. D) From the given statements we draw the following least possible Venn diagram:

Conclusions:
I. At least some stands are tablets → it’s possible but not definite, hence false.
II. All notebooks being stands is a possibility → possibility is true.
III. No phone is notebook → clearly true.
Thus only conclusion II and III follow.

4. A) The least possibility diagram for the given statements is as follows,

Conclusions:
I. At least some doctors being honest is a possibility → Possibility is true.
II. All doctors, if they are smart are also honest → Clearly, doesn’t follow, hence false.
Hence, only conclusion I follows.

5. E) The least possible Venn diagram for the given statements is as follows,

Conclusions:
I. Some sheets are soft → It’s possible but not definite, hence false.
II. Some pillows are toys → It’s possible but not definite, hence false.
III. Some mattresses are soft → It’s possible but not definite, hence false.
IV. All sheets being pillow is a possibility → It’s not possible as sheets which are mattresses cannot be pillow, hence false.
Hence none of the given conclusion follows.

6. C) The least possible Venn diagram for the given statements is as follows,

Conclusions:
I. Some TVs are Coolers → It is possible but not definite, hence false.
II. Some TVs are not Coolers → It’s possible but not definite, hence false.
III. Some Coolers are Tubelights → It’s false.
IV. Some Fridges are not Tubelights → Clearly true as some Fridges which are Fans cannot be Tubelights.
Hence only conclusion IV follows.

7. C) Consider the following least possible Venn diagram,

Conclusions:
I. No airplane is a glider → It’s definite, hence true.
II. All parachutes being helicopters is a possibility → Possibility is true as shown below.

III. Some parachutes are airplanes → It’s not possible, hence false.
IV. All gliders being helicopters is a possibility → Possibility is true.
Hence only conclusion I, II and IV follows.

8. D) The least possible Venn diagram for the given statements is as follows,

Conclusions:
I. All qqmails being gmail is a possibility → it’s possible, hence true.

II. All gmails being hotmail is a possibility → it’s possible, hence true.

III. No qqmail is email → it’s true.
Thus, only all conclusions I, II and III follow.

9. C) Consider the following least possible Venn diagram,

Conclusions:
I. Some skirts are pants → it’s possible but not definite, hence false.
II. No pants are ropes → true, since all pants are shirts and no shirts are ropes.
III. Some skirts are ropes → false, since all skirts are shirts and no shirts are ropes.
IV. Some shorts are ropes → false, since all shorts are shirts and no shirts are ropes.
Hence only conclusion II follows.

10. E) The least possible Venn diagram for the given statements is as follows,

Conclusions:
I. Some pencils are pages → It is possible but not definite without direct relation, hence false.
II. No pages are scales → It is possible but not definite without direct relation, hence false.
III. No pencils are pages → It is possible but not definite without direct relation, hence false.
IV. Some pages are scales → It is possible but not definite without direct relation, hence false.
Here conclusion I and III form complementary pair and conclusion II and IV form complementary pair.
Thus either conclusion I or III and either II or IV follows.
