Directions (6 – 10): In each question below is given a group of numbers / symbols followed by five combinations of letter codes numbered (1), (2), (3), (4) and (5). You have to find out which of the combinations correctly represents the group of numbers / symbols based on the following coding system and the conditions and mark the number of that combination as your answer:
Conditions:
1) If the second element is an even number and the last element is a symbol then that even number is to be coded as the code for the symbol.
2) If both the second and third elements are symbols, the codes for these symbols are to be interchanged.
3) If there are no even numbers then the codes of the first and the third elements have to be interchanged.

Solution:
(1 – 5): Explanation:
In this question the first digit of every given number is coded as the difference of first digit and the second digit of the given number.
For instance, in 729 the first and the second digit are 7 and 2 respectively and the difference between them is 7 -2 = 5.
Next, the second digit of the given number is coded as the difference of the second digit and the third digit of the given number.
In 729 the second digit and the third digit are 2 and 9 respectively and the difference between them is 9 - 2 = 7.
Similarly, the third digit of the given number is coded as the difference of the third digit and the first digit of the given number.
In 729 the third digit and the first digit are 9 and 7 respectively and the difference between them is 9 - 7 = 2
Clearly, the code for 729 will be 572.
In the final step the obtained codified digits are arranged in a reverse order.
In case of 729, the obtained digits are 5, 7 and 2 respectively. Therefore, the final code for 729 will be 275.
1. C)  2. C)  3. D)  4. A)  5. B)

6. E) Here, 2nd rule implies i.e., both the second and third elements are symbols.
Therefore, 5 & @ 2 ¥ 6 * 1 β © is coded as QJACBYSZHE.

7. C) Here, 1st rule implies i.e., second element is an even number and the last element is a symbol.
Therefore, ¥ 8 $ 57 ! 4 * µ # is coded as BRUQDMFSWR.

8. D) Here 3rd rule implies i.e., there are no even numbers.
Therefore, 1 @ 7 ! $ ®3 * α & is coded as DJZMUGNSVA.

9. B) Here, 2nd rule implies i.e., second and third elements are symbols.
Therefore, 2 ¥ # 7 @ 59 ! * ∩ is coded as CRBDJQOMSP.

10. A) Here, 1st rule implies i.e., second element is an even number and the last element is a symbol.
Therefore, ! 62 $ 3 # & 8 * ¥ is coded as MBCUNRAKSB.

(11 – 15):
The logic for all the above code is:
Number that denotes 1st letter of the word: A-21, B-22, C-23, …, G-1,……, Z -20
Then the symbol is denoted with respect to no. of letters,
$ => 5 letter word; % => 4 letter word; * => 6 letter word
Next, second letter of the word will come.
11. C)   12. A)   13. B)   14. D)   15. C)
